Supporting the many talented, creative individuals in north Georgia and  western North Carolina, the Mountain Regional Arts and Crafts Guild, Inc. was founded in 1990 by Jamie Evans and a small group of artists and artisans. The Guild, a non-profit 501c-3 organization has since grown to more than fifty members. Our mission is to encourage and promote accomplishments in the arts and crafts by offering opportunities to partake of (or engage in) monthly meetings, classes, shows, exhibitions, outreach programs and fund raising events. 

In the fall of 2006, the MRACG opened ArtWorks Gallery and Gifts.   We made the very difficult decision in late 2024 to close Artworks and focus on opportunities for our members to sell their work as well as community outreach thru classes for children and senior citizens. 

A wide variety of fund raising events and income from grants, contributions and dues allow the Guild to support community outreach programs, classes for both children and seniors.
