The Guild recently experienced the loss of a cherished member, Mr. Bill Persick. He was a man of kindness, generosity, humility, and talent, and his absence will be felt by everyone.   You can learn more about Bill and view of video from 2021 here where he shares his technique for creating the ceramic bears he was so well known for.

Monthly Guild Meetings

Come join us!  We would love to meet you and see your artwork!  We are a friendly and supportive group of  like-minded artisans and crafters.  


Monthly Guild meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the Calvary Corner Fellowship Hall, US- 76, Hiawassee (across from Towns County High School). 


Supporting the Arts & Crafts Community in North Georgia & Western North Carolina for Over 30 Years

Our Purpose

The Guild supports and promotes its working artists and crafts members from the North Georgia and North Carolina mountain area. The 50+ members work in many different media.  Over 25 members participate in Artworks Artisan Center, the Guild owned and operated retail store selling Guild members work. ArtWorks also has classrooms where members can teach, sharing their expertise with students.

 

The Guild is supported in part by the Georgia Council for the Arts through the appropriations of the Georgia General Assembly. GCA also receives support from its partner agency - the National Endowment for the Arts.
