Debbie is mostly a self taught artist, whose interest in the arts started in her early teens.  Her art interest grew as a student in High School. In New York when her art teacher entered one of her pottery pieces into a local art contest and she won honorable mention.  Never being able to settle into one medium Debbie has dabbled in painting both Watercolor and Acrylic, Paper Mache, Jewelry Making, Photography, and Crochet.  Seeing no need or desire to limit herself artistically she easily moves from one Art/Craft to the next. She finds value in all arts and sees herself as a life long learner both in life and creativity. Depending on her frame of mind, one craft is at times better suited than another. She describes it as  “Different ways to feed the soul”   Using art as therapy is where she sees value whether as a creator or consumer or connecting with other artists.
